I run a 100 % mobile school, allowing me to choose the best spot each day based on weather conditions and your skill level. Depending on the wind and tides, we go either to El Cotillo Lagoon or Corralejo, Waikiki Beach. Both spots are perfect for beginners and to help you improve safely.

I’m Raphaël. I’ve been passionate about water sports my whole life and what I love most is being out on the water.
After more than 10 years teaching various water sports, I decided to create my own wingfoil school in Fuerteventura. One of the top world’s destination for wingfoil.
My approach is simple: teaching with patience, care, and good vibes, whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve.
I hold a BPJEPS Sailing diploma, a multi-sport BPJEPS in wakeboard, and IKO certification in kitesurfing. These solid qualifications allow me to guide you safely and help you progress in the best conditions.

Wingfoil lessons in the lagoon of El Cotillo
Located next to the village of El Cotillo, just 25 minutes from Corralejo, the Cotillo lagoon and its ultra-flat water surface, perfectly exposed to all wind directions, offer ideal conditions to start wingfoiling and progress safely.

Right in the heart of Corralejo, in Fuerteventura’s northeast coast, Waikiki is the go-to spot for wingfoil lessons for all levels. It works all year long, no matter the tide just show up and ride.
100% Mobile School
I run a 100% mobile wingfoil school.
I am based in Corralejo, but I don't stay in one spot. When the conditions are better in El Cotillo, we go there instead. Sometimes the wind is better in Corralejo, sometimes in El Cotillo. Being mobile means we can choose the best spot for the day, so you get the best possible conditions for your lesson.

Yes! Fuerteventura is a great place to learn wingfoil. I always choose the right spot for the day's conditions and your level, so you can learn in comfortable and safe conditions.

We can often choose spots with flat water, making it easier to learn and build confidence.

We usually have around 12-20 knots, a great range for learning, not too strong and not too light.

Wingfoil Conditions in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura offers nice conditions for wingfoiling throughout the year. The island's trade winds, mild temperatures and different water conditions make it a great destination for both beginners and experienced riders.
Wind
Fuerteventura is known for its reliable trade winds. We usually have 12–20 knots, which is perfect for learning.
Season
Wingfoiling is possible all year round in Fuerteventura! The mild climate and regular trade winds make it a great destination for wingfoiling throughout the seasons.
Temperature
Fuerteventura has a mild climate throughout the year, making it possible to enjoy wingfoil lessons in every season. We have around 18-24°C in winter and 24-30°C in summer (17°C-23°C degrees in the water).
Typical conditions
We usually look for the flattest water conditions. Depending on the wind direction, we choose the best spot for learning. Side wind is often ideal for beginners.

How many days to learn wingfoil?
Most beginners need around 3-5 lessons, so 3-5 days is a good starting point to build confidence and start riding independently.
What time is the wingfoil lesson?
The lesson time depends on the tide and wind forecast. I'll let you know the approximate time a few days before your lesson, and confirm the exact time the day before.
Where is the wingfoil lesson?
Lessons take place in North Fuerteventura, at two great spots: Waikiki Beach in Corralejo and El Cotillo Lagoon. Both are great spots and safe places to learn wingfoil.
How long is the wingfoil lesson?
Each wingfoil lesson is 2 hours, giving us enough time to get on the water, practise and make real progress.
