Best restaurants in Corralejo

I run a wingfoil school here in the north of Fuerteventura, in Corralejo, and I often get questions from students about where to eat and grab drinks. So, I thought of sharing my personal list.

Whether you want a quiet dinner or a fun night with cocktails and music, Corralejo has it all. Here are mine and my friends’ favorite places to eat and hang out in Corralejo! 🍻

Me Gustas Tu

We’ve been to Me Gustas Tu more times than I can count… It’s one of those places we just keep coming back to, with friends (or as a couple as well). It’s a small, cozy spot with a really nice atmosphere and a mix of food from Poland and Canaries. It’s right in the center of Corralejo, close to a nice little street with bars where you can grab a drink before dinner (Calle Iglesia)

One thing you have to try in Me Gustas Tu is the salmon teriyaki pierogi (!) they’re very tasty. Plus the kopytka gnocchi  and crispy king prawns. Most of the plates are tapas, so you can take a few to share.

Book a table in advance, since it’s often busy. You book a table by sending a WhatsApp message to them: +34 711 086 854. When we book, we use to ask them to save some salmon teriyaki pierogi for us, you should to the same 😉

La Pulperia

Another great bar/restaurant in Corralejo is La Pulpería. It’s a nice place whether you just want to have a drink or sit down for dinner. They serve lots of tasty small dishes, perfect to share if you come with friends, but it’s also a good place for two.

It’s often quite busy, and you can’t book a table here. When you arrive, they’ll put your name on the list, and you can stand waiting with a drink at the outside bar.

They’re open all day, every day, and during the afternoons it’s usually a bit quieter. We sometimes go there for a drink in the afternoon, but the best time is definitely in the evening when it gets more lively.

As the name suggests, there’s a lot of octopus on the menu. But we like their ceviche, falafel and shrimp tacos!

Gildas Tapas

Gildas Tapas is a really nice little spot right in the center of Corralejo. It’s a classic Spanish tapas place with a long menu of small dishes to share. Every time we go, we always get the meatballs in tomato sauce. 😋

They’re open for lunch and dinner, every day except Sunday and Monday.

It’s best to book a table for dinner here, you can call ahead to reserve!

Domenoteca

Domenoteca is a recently opened wine / seafood place in Corralejo, neighbour to restaurant Me Gustas To, as we mentioned above.

The interior is super nice and you can find some good fish plates and great wine here.

You can reserve a table easy though text on WhatsApp but you can also often do walk-ins, we have managed to get table easy.

The best things we have tried here have been the fish of the day, which came with some nice vegetables. And the Col Verde! (although they often update the menu).

Single Fin / Twinny Bar (for burgers)

If you’re in the mood for a burger, Single Fin is a really good spot in Corralejo. They recently opened a bar right next door called Twinny, run by the same owner, and you can also order the burgers there.

We don’t bother booking a table at Single Fin, there’s almost always space, especially now with the bar next door.

At Twinny, you can get all the same food from Single Fin, plus they have a bigger bar with cocktails and drinks, which makes it a nice spot for a longer evening out.

Single Fin and Twinny are open every day except for Wednesday. On the weekend they are open for lunch but otherwise only at night. We usually go in the evening and like hanging out over good burgers and drinks.

La Oca Blanca

I used to live next door to La Oca Blanca, so I had the chance to try it quite a few times. It’s a really nice place with good food, especially the pasta.

The entrance “Fried Vieja” is good, also the pasta “San Giuannidd” and the mushroom ravioli.

It’s more of a traditional restaurant than a casual hangout. Perfect for couples.

You can book a table online, which is a good idea because it can be busy. You can either book a table through The Fork, or by sending a WhatsApp message to them.

Normally they are open every night except for Sundays and Mondays.

D'Vales Bay

Another great place for dinner in Corralejo is D’Vales Bay. It has a slightly more elegant atmosphere, with a nice terrace overlooking the water. It has high-quality dishes like fresh fish, grilled meats and classic Mediterranean cuisine.

You can reserve a table easy  directly through their website, and it’s usually possible to get a table even on short notice. You can choose to be seated in the terrace when you make the reservation.

Want a nice place to grab drinks before dinner?

When we want a drink before dinner in Corralejo, we usually head to Calle Iglesia which is a lively street full of great bars, often with live music in the evenings. You’ll always find a spot to sit and enjoy a drink here.

We like the cocktails at La Eskina. We also often stop by Los Monos Sapios. Or Waterfall. They are all in the same, lively street.

All of these spots usually serve little snacks with your drink, which is a nice bonus.

For sunset, there is Sunset Lounge. It’s right on the beach at “Rocky Point” and often has live music, perfect for finishing the day with a drink while watching the sunset. (Even if our favorite place to see the sunset is in the town El Cotillo!)

Drinks after dinner

Like many others who live here, we usually head to Babel Cocktail Bar for drinks after dinner. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying late…It can get very busy later at night.

The location is great right in the middle of Corralejo and close to all the restaurants we’ve mentioned. It’s a great spot to finish the night with friends.

If Babel is not open there is also another bar called Cheers next doors.

If you have a car and want to go to nearby towns

Got a car? There are some great little towns near Corralejo that are nice to visit for lunch or dinner.

El Cotillo - small town about 20 minutes drive from Corralejo

In El Cotillo there’s a nice sunset, rooftop, bar we often go to called Bamba Rooftop. If you want to eat in the same place they also have nice burgers (probably other nice things also).

Another bar we use to go for sunset is Aquí Risto Lounge Bar. They make nice cocktails, and it’s a nice hangout. There are comfy sofas where you can sit back with your drinks, and sometimes there’s even a DJ playing (you can see when on instagram, normally it’s sundays).

We usually just show up and get a table, but if you’re a bigger group or want to be sure, it’s a good idea to call ahead and book, even if it’s just for drinks.

For lunch or dinner in Cotillo you have Azul y Sal (nice fish restaurant by the sea), Tsunami (for great, unique burgers), Pez Gordo (nice rooftop, we like their fresh caesar salad with shrimps!).

If you want a easier dinner there is super good pizzas in Pizzeria Marameo

Lajares - a small surf village 10 minutes by car from Corralejo

We also have some favorite spots in Lajares.

Surfescape is a hotel/coworking space but they also have a super nice garden restaurant called Secret Garden. Here it’s nice to stop by for a coffee or lunch. They have some asian-inspired dishes like fresh woks, bowls etc.

We use to just come by, but it can be full sometimes. You can book a table online.

If you come to the island for some work online this is a great spot to spend the day to work, eat and they also have a pool with sunbeds that you can use.

Another great spot for lunch in Lajares is Öken. Our go-to there is their sushi which is very good. We use to take their Shrimp gyoza, Eolian Futomaki and Sirocco Uramaki. Or Hot Salmon Tempurizados.

You can also just stop for a coffee here.

We use to just come by here also, but sometimes it can be full so it can be a great idea to call and reserve. We use to call them

One last favorite in Lajares is actually a Lebanese restaurant, called Oúm. It is located just next to the famous volcano “Calderon Hondo”. The restaurant is open both for lunch and dinner, every day except for monday and tuesday.

Here we like the falafel, chich taouk (chicken skewers), the great pita bread and hummus…

If you go for the dinner here (which you should!) you need to book a table in advance, by phone. They do sittings at 17h, 19h or 21h only.

If you try any of these places, let me know what you think (or if you find a new place I should add to the list 😉). I’ll keep this guide updated as I find new places that deserve a spot here… Corralejo’s food scene keeps changing and there’s always something new to try. And if you’re booking lessons with me and want some personal recommendations based on your group and what you’re looking for, just ask, I’m always happy to share my tips!
